Welcome to DIMDEX 2020

Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, and proudly hosted and organised by Qatar Armed Forces, the Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition & Conference (DIMDEX) has grown to become one of the leading events on the international defence and security industry calendar.

Now in its seventh edition, DIMDEX will once again connect the world’s maritime defence and security community. It is now firmly established in the global maritime defence and security industry calendar and continues to attract key decision makers from all sectors of the global defence industry, presenting an opportunity to discover the newest technologies and industry trends.

DIMDEX 2020 will be held over three days from 16 to 18 March at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC).


Qatar has emerged as one of the most important oil and gas producers in the world. It is an Islamic state whose laws and customs comply with the Shariaa Law. Qatar has the lowest crime rate, as it is a safe destination with and political stability. Although precautious measurements are advised, there is nothing that would prevent tourists from wandering around any part of the city.

Location: The State of Qatar is a peninsula located amid the western coast of the Arabian Gulf. The peninsular is approximately 11.500km across. Qatar includes several islands the largest of which are, Halul, Shraouh and Al-Asshat, and shares its southern border with Saudi Arabia and a maritime border Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Iran.
