Armed Forces concluded the exercise (Al-Adheed 2020) on Wednesday, in which all sectors and branches of the armed forces participated, along with the participation of the Amiri Guard.

The conclusion of the exercise's activities, which was held under the patronage of HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Dr Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah, were attended by HE Chief of Staff of Qatari Armed Forces Lieutenant General (Pilot) Ghanem bin Shaheen al Ghanim , and a number of senior officers from various participating sectors.

Al-Adheed exercise is an important part of the plan to secure and successfully host the 2022 World Cup.

The exercise also aims to activate joint action between the armed forces units, under a joint command through a joint operations center, through the use of modern systems of command and control. (QNA)
