Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs H E Dr Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah met yesterday with US Undersecretary for Arms Control and International Security Andrea L Thompson.

Discussions during the meeting dealt with a number of issues of common interest and means of enhancing and developing them. The meeting was attended by the State of Qatar’s Ambassador to the United States, H E Sheikh Mishal bin Hamad Al Thani, and the Qatari Military Defence Attache to the United States, Colonel Nawaf bin Mubarak Al Thani.

The Deputy Prime Minister also met with the Deputy to Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, Geeta Pasi, in Washington. The meeting discussed the latest developments in the African continent
