Venegono, Italy: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs HE Dr Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah visited the factory of the Italian company Leonardo in the city of Venegono, where he was welcomed by the CEO of the company Alessandro Profumo.

This visit comes within the framework of exploring the facilities of the international aviation school to determine its readiness to receive the first batch of Qatari pilots from the Al-Zaeem Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Attiyah Air College to continue their advanced training, which is scheduled to take place in April.

As part of the visit, His Excellency took a training flight to get acquainted with the training program designed for Qatari pilots on the M-346 advanced training aircraft.

Deputy Prime Minister was accompanied during the visit by Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Italian Republic HE Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Malki, Commander of the Amiri Air Force Staff Major General (Pilot) HE Salem bin Hamad Al Nabit, the Qatari Military Attache to the Italian Republic Brigadier General Hilal Ali Al Mohannadi, and several senior officers of the Armed Forces.
