Doha, Qatar – Dec. 6, 2021: The seventh edition of the Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (DIMDEX 2022), which returns to the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) in less than 100 days, looks primed for major success, having received an overwhelmingly enthusiastic response from companies, both domestic and international.
Hosted and organised by Qatar Armed Forces, DIMDEX 2022 will take place between the 21st and 23rd of March 2022 under the theme ‘Connecting the World’s Maritime Defence and Security Community.’ Online registration has commenced for the biennial event that will provide exhibitors a multitude of opportunities to connect with senior-decision makers and high-level military delegations as well as an internationally reputed platform to showcase the latest state-of-the-art technological innovations in the field of maritime defence and security.
DIMDEX 2022, which is witnessing an unprecedented demand for space from exhibitors looking to establish their presence in one of the fastest growing defence markets in the world, is shaping up to be the biggest edition ever in terms of the number of international companies and visiting delegations. Close to 90% of the space has already been sold, as is to be expected from an event that has earned an enviable reputation for facilitating commercial partnerships and knowledge exchange between industry and government. Fourteen Country Pavilions, from China, Italy, France, Germany, Turkey, USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Pakistan, Iran, India, Jordan and Croatia have confirmed participation in the event. A record number of domestic companies are expected to showcase their cutting-edge products and capabilities at the upcoming edition as well, thanks to the astounding success that local companies have achieved in previous editions, both in terms of global recognition and partnerships fostered. With Qatar military officials sending out invitations to high-ranking officials from various fraternal and friendly countries, DIMDEX 2022 is anticipated to welcome a significant number of high-level military delegations, comprising of Defence Ministers, Chiefs of Staff, Navy Commanders, other senior officials and think tanks of the defence and security community.
