The Organizing Committee of the Doha International Maritime Defense Exhibition and Conference (DIMDEX) has announced that it renewed sponsorship contract with MBDA, the world's leading developer of missile systems, to be the Gold Sponsor of the event for the seventh time.
DIMDEX 2022 will take place under the theme "Connecting the World's Maritime Defence and Security Community'.
Commenting on this occasion, HE Chief of Staff of Qatari Armed Forces Lieutenant General (Pilot) Ghanim bin Shaheen Al Ghanim said that the State of Qatar is proceeding steadily towards achieving its goals in order to become a global center for trade, adding that this is reflected in the commitment to the highest international standards in the field of security and defense industry.
HE said that Qatar today is playing a prominent role in the global security and defense industry, aiming to exchange knowledge and experiences, in line with the national strategic goals.
For his part, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of DIMDEX Staff Brigadier (Sea) Abdulbaqi Saleh Al Ansari said "We are very honored to partner with MBDA, one of the leading companies in the defense industry, as an exhibitor and Gold Sponsor for the seventh time," in a continuous and fruitful partnership, which started since the first edition of DIMDEX in 2008.
DIMDEX 2022 and MBDA together will provide unparalleled business opportunities to the participants, as promised in previous editions, he added.
He pointed out that MBDA is the leading global developer and the only integrated defense company in Europe that provides an integrated range of missiles and missile systems for each branch of the armed forces (air, sea, land), noting that thanks to its modern innovations, the company provides comprehensive products and solutions in more than one continent, thus, it is a major partner of the Qatari Armed Forces and acts as a contributor to the development efforts of national defense capabilities
Commenting on the sponsorship contract, General Delegate of MBDA in Qatar Bertrand Dumoulin said that for the past 45 years, the State of Qatar and MBDA have signed partnership contracts in order to provide the best products and technologies to the Qatari Armed Forces, and to provide support and training opportunities.
As a reflection of this strong relationship, MBDA is delighted to continue its permanent commitment toward DIMDEX and to be the Gold Sponsor for the seventh time in a row, he said, looking forward to another successful edition of the event.
