STA Systems plans to start operations by mid-2014, performing main and tail rotor component repairs for AW109 Power, Grand, GrandNew and AW139 helicopters across the region.
Vincenzo Alaimo, head of regional sales for SE Asia, AgustaWestland, said: ‘The appointment of STA Systems is part of AgustaWestland’s strategy to deliver high quality support services to its growing customer base globally by expanding its network of repair centres. Goh Poh Loh, senior vice president/general manager, STA Systems, added: ‘We are delighted to sign this LoI to be appointed as an AgustaWestland Authorized Component Repair Centre. Leveraging ST Aerospace’s comprehensive repair and overhaul capabilities and global MRO network, we will be able to offer AgustaWestland’s helicopter operators a broad range of services at their convenience.’
