The QEAF was established in the beginning of the 70s from the public security units. In the 1980s, as a result of the emergence of a number of regional responsibilities, the QEAF witnessed a remarkable and qualitative development in order to maintain the security and safety of the Qatar's airspace and the country's natural capabilities. The mission of the QEAF focuses on defending the sovereignty of the state's airspace and protecting its national wealth and interest from any threatt, as well as assisting all branches of the armed forces and security agencies.
