The Qatar Emiri Air Force (QEAF) originated in the early 1970s, developing from the aviation units of public security. With the rise of regional responsibilities in the 1980s, QEAF embarked on a major phase of growth and modernization to ensure the protection of Qatar’s airspace and its strategic capabilities. Today, the QEAF plays a crucial role in safeguarding national sovereignty, defending the state’s skies from any potential threats, and securing vital economic resources. In addition, it provides essential support to all branches of the armed forces and national security entities, reinforcing Qatar’s overall defense posture.
